Every teacher deserves a break, especially the one that comes at the end of the school year. Shown below are two photographs of the faculty and family members of the Lyerly School in 1948 as they gather for a little rest and relaxation.

Although their exact positions are unidentified, the following teachers are shown in this photograph: Miss Lee, Miss Brodgon, Mrs. Strawn, Mr. Lovett, Mrs. Lovett, Betty Strawn, Margaret Brewer, Mrs. Kendrick, and Sara Jackson.

Pictured above are, from left to right, Mrs. Warren Lovett, Mary Holland, and Lucy Doster. Mary Holland lived in the large family home pictured on page 80 in the book, Chattooga County, until her death in 1983.
