From the August 12, 1959 edition of the Chattooga Democrat, a newspaper published in 1959-60:

"Mrs. Roy Bailey, Oak Street, was admitted to Riegel Hospital for treatment of lacerations and bruises Saturday after her auto, above, was involved in a three-car collision on Park Avenue, near the hospital. Mrs. Bailey's vehicle was overturned in the collision.

"Drivers of the two other automobiles were Evie Poole, Negro, Chattanooga, and Fred Lawson, Trion.

"The Poole woman was booked for reckless driving by Trion Police."
