The annual Trion Golf Tourney
was held in August 1960 at the old Trion golf course. The following
photographs were taken by T. Emmett Nunn for the Trion Facts.
Camp (right) was winner in the 1st Flight and Jack Williams (left) was
the winner in the 2nd flight of the Trion Golf Club's annual Tourney.
Irwin Thomas (right) won the 3rd flight and Babe Willingham (left) won the 4th flight.
Jason Broom (right) won the 5th flight and Dwight Hardin (left) won the 6th flight.

Bankey at the scorers table. In front is the N.B Murphy trophy that
goes each year to the winner. Chapman cut 3 strokes on his 2nd round 33
and finished 1 under on the final leg for a 103. He became the 14th
winner of the annual contest.
winners of the Tourney were (standing) Dub Brown, 6th flight winner;
Byron Chapman of LaFayette, Tourney Champion; J.W. Greenwood, Trion's
Club Champion, finished 4th in the tourney of 153 entries; Joe Hood of
Marietta, 3rd flight winner. In front, Jim Moseley, runner up, 2nd
flight, and Elmer Wilson, Chattanooga, 4th flight winner.
