Over sixty contestants entered the Miss Chattooga County beauty pageant held at Chattooga High School on Friday, April 14, 1967.
The winner was Teresa McCurdy of Summerville, shown here being crowned by the previous year's winner, Susan Brooks. Standing in the background are, left to right, Hilda Smith, Margaret Massey, Brenda Posey, and Lanett Posey.
Karen Chamlee (left) was first runner up. Lanett Posey was second runner-up.
The finalists included, from left to right, Margaret Massey, Judy Scoggins, Marla Payne, Karen Chamlee, Teresa McCurdy, Lanett Posey, Cecelia Hurley, Carol Hall, Brenda Posey, and Hilda Smith.
