The Summerville Recreation Center sponsored the Turkey Bowl Football Tournament in 1962. The games were played in November of 1962 on the old high school football field.
Carolyn Dooley is crowned Miss Turkey Bowl by Summerville Recreation Center director Grady McCalmon. Runners-up were (left to right) Kathy Lenderman, Jan Parham, and Jeanette Ponder.
