An April 1956 brochure compiled by the Summerville Merchants Association and others included the following photograph:
The brochure promoted Summerville and the surrounding area as a watersports wonderland. I don't know about you, but I've never seen anyone waterskiing along the Chattooga River. From the extra wake in the above photograph on the left, a second boat with a photographer on board must have made a mad dash across the path of the boat in the photo to shoot this picture.
